2022 Forbes Mill Dinner


We were very pleased to host our Spring Dinner at Forbes Mill Steakhouse in Los Gatos on April 24th. Forbes Mill, combines excellent food and distinguished service with a stylish and comfortable environment.

Executive chef, Brian Weselby, born and raised on a farm in England, has worked at several Michelin-starred restaurants in England and France and has been honored for his creativity.

We enjoyed a five-course meal starting with steak tartare topped with a poached egg. Second was a blackened prawn dish over very nice polenta. The third course, a Caesar salad, was prepared fresh and served with anchovies and futon Parmesan.

After an intermezzo, to cleanse the palate, an eight-ounce ribeye steak which was certified prime. Forbes is one of the very few restaurants that have certified prime steaks to serve. Desser, a chocolate treat reflected the quality of this fine restaurant.

And, befitting a 2021 Wine Spectator Best of Wine Award winner, the wines were selected to complement the cuisine from Chef Weselby. Their cellar specializes in presenting the finest of California boutique wineries, with great depth in small producers of Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. Our Bailliage sommelier ensured that each wine matched the outstanding meal prepared for you.
