Sent Sovi Restaurant

Nestled neatly among the trees of quaint, historic downtown Saratoga, Sent Soví has been one of my favorite restaurants since 2005 and is one of the Bay Area's best foodie destinations. Chef/Owner Josiah Stone has been earning raves since he purchased it in 2002 from David Kinch, now of Manresa in Los Gatos, with his Seasonal French Californian cuisine that is really outstanding.

In a quaint European cottage like setting, Chef Slone creates food that is technique and ingredient driven. I am sure you will appreciate his creativity and mathematical approach when planning dishes for the right amount of complexity and flavors, his inspired platings, and the unsurpassed quality of his culinary creations.

What does Sent Soví mean?

It’s the name of an ancient cookbook but the closest meaning from old Catalonian is “sweet taste”. I decided to keep the name after buying the restaurant from David Kinch because I believe it fits and it’s a chef driven establishment. In fact you’ll see our dessert section on the menu is under ‘sweet tastes’. - Chef Josiah Slone
